C2D's commitment: European technological sovereignty

2018: C2D takes the floor at the European Parliament

In 2018, Stany Wyrzykowski, head of C2D, spoke at the European Parliament of Enterprises (EPE) in Brussels.

The EPE's objective: to bring the realities on the ground directly to the European institutions.

During this intervention, C2D delivered a clear message:

  • Europe must master its technologies,
  • Open source is a key lever for independence,
  • skills must remain local and sustainable,
  • technology must serve the real economy and citizens.

Open source, a choice always embraced

At a time when open source was still seen as a marginal alternative, C2D was already making this strategic choice.

Open source allows:

  • more transparency,
  • greater security,
  • greater technological freedom,
  • less dependence on non-European actors.
